I Fix Search For Cannabis Businesses That Cannot Advertise
My name is Nizam Uddin. I have spent most of my career in search and the last stretch of it almost entirely on cannabis retail, where the usual playbook does not work and the mistakes are expensive.

Cannabis Found Me, Not The Other Way Round
I did not set out to specialise in cannabis. I was doing ordinary search work when a dispensary chain landed on my desk with a problem nobody could explain: traffic collapsing, dozens of location pages that looked fine to everyone who read them, and a Search Console account with a manual action sitting in it.
Working through that taught me something the general SEO world does not talk about. This industry has failure modes that exist nowhere else. Menus that load in an iframe so Google never sees a single product. Age gates that quietly serve the crawler a different page than the customer, which is cloaking whether you meant it or not. Location pages built from one template because there is no other way to cover forty cities quickly.
Underneath all of it sits one constraint that shapes everything: you cannot buy your way out. Google and Meta refuse the category, so there is no paid campaign to catch what organic misses. When search breaks for a dispensary, the phone stops ringing. That is what made this work worth specialising in.
What I will and will not do
These are not marketing lines. They are the rules I actually work by, and they cost me work sometimes, which is rather the point of having them.
Diagnosis before anything is sold
I will not quote a retainer before understanding what is wrong. Sometimes the honest answer is that the problem is one developer ticket and you do not need an agency at all. That answer is free.
No bought links, ever
Unnatural inbound links are one of the two dominant penalties in this industry, and cannabis operators are pushed toward buying them because paid channels are closed. I will not build the problem I get hired to fix.
Compliance is not optional
A ranking that costs you a licence warning is not a win. Every page and profile I touch is written to survive a regulator reading it, and anything risky gets flagged to you rather than published quietly.
Reporting you can argue with
Complete months only, partial months clearly labelled, and grid movement per store rather than one site average that hides the branches going nowhere. If a month was bad, the report says so.
No ranking guarantees
Nobody can guarantee positions, and anyone offering to is either misleading you or planning to rank you for terms nobody searches. What I commit to is a diagnosis you can verify independently.
You own everything
Profiles, accounts, documentation, and tracking are set up in your name. If we stop working together you keep it all, including the change log.
What I have actually worked on
Multi-location cannabis brands, mostly across Michigan and neighbouring states, including chains carrying active penalties when I picked them up.
You Are Not In The United States. Does That Matter?
It is a fair thing to ask, so here is the straight answer. I work with US operators from Bangladesh, and for this kind of work the distance genuinely does not affect the output. Everything I do happens in Search Console, in your Business Profiles, in your site's code, and in documents. None of it requires standing in your store.
What it does affect is how we work together. Time zones mean most communication is written rather than a call at short notice, which I have come to think is an advantage: decisions get documented, nothing lives only in someone's memory, and you have a record of what changed and why. That record is also exactly what a reconsideration request needs if a penalty ever lands.
Where it genuinely matters is compliance, because state advertising rules are jurisdiction specific and I am not your lawyer. I write content to be compliant and flag anything risky, but final sign off belongs with your counsel. If a question falls outside what I can responsibly advise on, I will say so rather than guess.
The guides and tools have no catch
No email wall, no signup, no watered down version with the useful part behind a form. Every tool on this site checks for a problem I have found on a real account, and every guide contains what I would actually do about it.
The reasoning is simple. Most operators who run these checks will fix things themselves, and that is a good outcome for an industry where bad advice is the norm. A few will look at the result, decide they would rather hand it over, and get in touch. That is a better way to start a working relationship than an ad, because by then you already know whether I understand your problem.
The work itself
Rather than take any of this on trust, the tools and the documented engagements are open.
