terms
Using this site
By using DispensaryRank you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Who this site is for
It is intended for licensed cannabis businesses and their marketing teams, and for adults aged 21 and over. Nothing here sells, offers, or facilitates the sale of cannabis products.
Acceptable use of the tools
Scan only sites you own or have permission to check. Do not attempt to script the tools, route them at private or internal addresses, or use them to test infrastructure you have no relationship with. Rate limits apply and persistent abuse is blocked.
Reports and links
Scan reports are reachable by a long random link and are not indexed by search engines. Anyone holding that link can open the report, so treat it as shareable rather than private, and ask for it to be deleted if you would rather it did not exist.
Content and ownership
The guides, tools, and written material here belong to their author. Read them, apply them in your own work, and quote them with attribution. Republishing them wholesale, or feeding them into a product that resells them, is not permitted.
Availability
The tools are free and offered without any promise of uptime. They may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time, and a tool that depends on fetching another website will sometimes fail because that website is slow, blocking requests, or offline.
Not advice, and no guarantees
Everything published here is general information rather than legal, compliance, or financial advice, and no search result is promised. The disclaimer page covers this in full and forms part of these terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for loss arising from use of this site or its tools. Paid engagements are governed by their own written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated, and the date at the top of the page will change when they are. Questions can go to the contact page.
Free tools and paid work are separate
These terms cover the website and the free tools. Paid consulting is governed by whatever is signed for that engagement, and where the two disagree, the signed agreement wins. Running a tool, requesting a report, or asking for the free audit creates no obligation on either side.
What is not permitted
Do not script or automate the tools, run them at volume, or route them at addresses you have no relationship with. Do not attempt to reach parts of the site that are not published, interfere with how it runs, or reverse engineer the tools in order to rebuild them elsewhere.
Do not scrape the written material for republication or to train a product that resells it. Reading it, applying it in your own work, and quoting it with attribution are all fine and actively encouraged.
Where responsibility ends
The tools and guidance are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for lost revenue, lost rankings, lost data, regulatory penalties, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from using this site or acting on what it says.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where a limitation is unenforceable where you live, it does not apply to you and the rest still stands.
Scanning sites you do not own
You are responsible for having the right to scan whatever address you enter. If a scan you run leads to a complaint or a claim from the owner of that site, that is yours to answer rather than this site's, and you agree to cover any cost arising from it.
Reports and how long they last
A scan report reachable by link is not permanent. Reports may be removed to keep the database manageable, and any report is deleted on request. Save anything you need to keep rather than relying on the link surviving indefinitely.
Ending access
Access to the tools can be limited or withdrawn where they are being abused, scripted, or used against sites the person has no relationship with. In practice this means a rate limit rather than anything dramatic, and ordinary use never encounters it.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which this site is operated, and any dispute would be heard there. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you hold under the law of your own country that cannot be set aside by agreement.
If part of this fails
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing something on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change, and the updated date at the top of the page changes with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version, so the date is worth glancing at if you rely on the tools regularly.
